The 2016 “Honorary Prof. Dr. Mircea N. Sabau” ARA Award for Excellence in Physics/Chemistry”

• Prof. Dr. Eng. Ruxandra Vidu – President of ARA, and Prof. Dr. Eng. Marius Enachescu – Vice-President of ARA, at the ARA 40th Congress, which was held in Montreal, Canada, July 28 – 31, 2016, Chaired by Dr. Ala Mindicanu.

This year, in honor of the 40th Anniversary of the founding of ARA, the award was uniquely given to two ARA members for their significant and outstanding contribution to both Science and ARA. The $200 Award Prize was given to Prof. Dr. Eng. Ruxandra Vidu, by Prof. Dr. Eng. Marius Enachescu, who graciously took over the supplemental material offered from the Founders in 2015, and another $200 for Prof. Dr. Eng. Marius Enachescu was offered by Dr. Rer. Nat. Carmen Sabau and Dr. Isabelle Sabau, the founders of the Award.

This year, PhD students were awarded in the poster sesion, which offered an exciting and rewarding experiential learning opportunity to grad students who shared and presented their research. The Judging Committee was composed of ARA members, such as: Marius Enachescu, Ruxandra Botez, Ioana Ionel, Vitorio Stana si Ruxandra Vidu.
