ARA directions under the Ruxandra Vidu Presidency

  • Continue and worsen the degrading trends under Ion Paraschivoiu leadership
  • continue to neglect the ARA publications, including to the suppression of the ARA Journal, the main ARA publication
  • Changing the democratic character of the organization from a democratic voting systems, involving the entire membership and promoting a society based on a self-perpetuating board, in which only the 5-7 ARA members of the self-nominated Board of Directions have the right to vote and make decisions, and with no voting rights for its members at large, thus legalizing the abuse of power to the point of permitting only to the ARA directors and their families to benefit of the educational and/or charitable programs from ARA funds.
  • Altering the Bylaws amendments vote process, namely to be approved by 2/3 ARA membership with voting rights per the Bylaws active at the voting time (Bylaws amended in 2004),thus illegally adopting a set of Bylaws without the required number of votes.
  • Seeking material benefits from the ARA funds, as the President Ruxandra Vidu constantly requested and was refused by the elected treasurer (2014-2015), and did, in the absence of an independent treasurer (2016), by taking money from the ARA funds, for non-documented expenses (The leaders of ARA are should be volunteers, like they were in the past, working for the enhancement of the organization, and not seeking any material benefit, as the ARA President should not make exception).
  • Altering the Executive Committee (ExC) minutes, or the General Assembly minutes, as “up-dated by Ruxandra Vidu”, with false information, which were not discussed during the meetings and were not mentioned, e.g. in the ExC ones, written by the General Secretary. The minutes would not be approved at the following meeting. Excerpts from these “up-dated by R.V.” ExC minutes will be used in Decisions posted on the website and falsely used further, e.g. at the WF Bank to become the only one signer on the ARA bank account.
  • Pushed around and dismiss elected officers and heavily active ARA members at the whim of a president, without legal authority, per the section 5210 of the California Nonprofit Corporation California Law.
  • Not doing anything to improve the situation of the significant reduction of the number of ARA members, compared with prior presidencies up to 2000.
